Following a successful formative career in karting – winning the Norwegian national title along the way – Henrik Krogstad graduated to car racing in 2013 and was crowned Scandinavian Formula 7 Champion the following season. Selected as Norway’s ‘Auto Sport Talent’ in 2015, he made his rallycross debut in RX2’s predecessor RX Lites on home turf at Hell the next year and turned heads with an excellent fourth-place finish, just shy of the rostrum.
Subsequent stints in the Norwegian Supernational Rallycross Championship and RallyX Nordic further broadened Henrik’s experience while highlighting his skill, as he claimed third position in the Supercar Lites class title battle in the latter in 2017.
In 2018, the Norwegian joined RX2 with JC Raceteknik, speeding to a trio of podium finishes and coming within a couple of corners of securing his maiden victory in the official FIA World Rallycross Championship feeder series in France, only for a spin exiting the joker on the very last lap to cost him dearly.
The RX2 rookie nonetheless did enough to clinch third place in the season-end standings, behind only Oliver Eriksson – a multiple champion in single-make Supercar Lites machinery – and future World RX driver Guillaume De Ridder.
Following a year on the sidelines as he focussed on evaluating his career path and establishing his own rental company, Krogstad returns in 2020 with #YellowSquad, ready to do battle for glory.
